Bruce Springsteen blasts President Trump on radio show

Bruce Springsteen told listeners to his radio show on SiriusXM that he felt that President Trump‘s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic was guided by his desire to be re-elected. 

“I had another show prepared for broadcast this week on this strange and eventful summer, but with 100,000+ Americans dying over the last few months and the empty, shamed response from our leaders, I’ve been simply pissed off,” Springsteen said. “Those lives deserved better than just being inconvenient statistics for our President’s re-election efforts. It’s a national disgrace.”

He added, “I’m going to start out by sending one to the man sitting behind the Resolute desk. With all respect, sir, show some consideration and care for your countrymen and your country. Put on a fucking mask.”

Dropkick Murphys to host charity concert at empty Fenway Park

Dropkick Murphys will play the first-ever concert on the diamond at Boston, Massachusetts’ Fenway Park, May 29, during a livestreamed charity concert that will feature a remote appearance from Bruce Springsteen

The show, which will stream for free, will raise money for multiple charities. Singer and bassist Ken Casey told Billboard that the band will be socially distanced between bases with the drums at second base. “It beats playing at home,” Casey said.  “I didn’t really enjoy watching people play on their couches. It wasn’t endearing to me. It actually made me freak out more and go, ‘Oh my God. Even the biggest people are screwed as well.”

Music legend Dion has called on a number of his friends to join him on his new blues album, Blues With Friends, and they answered the call

“Dion knows how to sing,” Dylan wrote, “and he knows just the right way to craft these songs, these blues songs. He’s got some friends here to help him out, some true luminaries. But in the end, it’s Dion by himself alone, and that masterful voice of his that will keep you returning to share these Blues songs with him.”

The album is due out June 5. “I wanted an album of songs that were strong and memorable and told stories that were worth telling,” Dion said.
