Harry Styles tops Billboard Hot 100

Harry Styles‘ “Watermelon Sugar” jumps from No. 7 to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, making him the second member of One Direction to have a solo No. 1 single on the chart. 

The Weeknd‘s “Blinding Lights” rises from No. 5 to No. 4 and spends his record-tying 18th week a”irit No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart, matching the Goo Goo Dolls‘ “Iris” (which spent its 18th week on that chart August 1, 1998) and breaking the record with its 21st week at No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart. 

Billie Eilish‘s “My Future” debuts at No. 6. This mark’s Eilish’s third top 10 single and highest charting track. No other new releases entered the top 10 this week.

Paul McCartney, Elton John, Eddie Vedder to perform at One World COVID-19 charity special

Paul McCartneyElton John, and Eddie Vedder lead a star-studded lineup who will perform at the One World COVID-19 charity special which is being curated by Lady Gaga, and will be hosted by Jimmy FallonJimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and the cast of Sesame Street

The event will live stream online April 18 at 8 p.m. ET and will serve as a celebration of healthcare workers. Donations raised by the show will benefit the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, as well as local and regional charities providing food, shelter and healthcare to those in need.

Elton John to host coronavirus special

Elton John will headline a benefit concert, March 29, to provide entertainment to those self-quarantining due to the continued coronavirus epidemic. The show will be broadcast on Fox, replacing the since-canceled iHeartradio Music Awards.

Fox Presents the iHeart Living Room Concert For America will feature performances from Backstreet Boys, Billie EilishAlicia KeysGreen Day‘s  Billie Joe Armstrong, Mariah Carey, Tim McGraw, and a number of other artists, who will be recording performances from their homes on the singers; personal cell phones, camera, and audio equipment.

Live Nation Postponing All Tours

Live Nation has announced that it plans to postpone all tours due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. While a few select shows will take place over the next few days, remaining concerts will be postponed. The promoter’s offices will be closed until the end of March and the company will attempt to resume tours in May or June.
