Taylor Swift remains at No. 1 for second straight week

Taylor Swift‘s latest album, Folklore, remained at No. 1 for a second consecutive week. though it fell 84% in album-equivalent units after opening with 846,000 units; the best opening week for any album in 2020. 

No other new album entered the top 10 this week, but Beyoncé‘s, The Lion King: The Gift re-enters the chart with 27,000 equivalent units and landed at No. 10. 

Beyoncé to debut visual album on Disney+

Beyoncé will debut Black Is King, a visual album, July 31, on Disney+. The singer wrote, directed, and executive produced the album, in which she reimagines the lesson of The Lion King. The album is based on the music of The Lion KingL The Gift. 

In other news, the singer won the BET HER award, a collaboration with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. She was also presented with the show’s Humanitarian Award by former first lady Michelle Obama.

Megan Thee Stallion tops Billboard Hot 100

Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Savage” (featuring Beyoncé) leaped from No. 5 to No. 1 this week. The track had previously reached the No. 2 spot. 

DaBaby‘s “Rockstar” (featuring Roddy Ricch) entered the top five, exploding from No. 8 to No. 4, marking DaBaby’s first top-five hit. No other singles debuted in the top 10 this week.
