Lana Del Rey releases spoken word performance

Lana Del Ray has released a spoken word audiobook of her new poetry collection, Violet Ben Backwards Over the Grass. The project features music from Jack Antonoff. The audiobook consists of 14 poems. The hardcover and ebook versions will be released September 29, with the CDs and LPs October 2. 

Del Ray has a second collection, behind the iron gates, due to be released later this year.

Glastonbury’s 50th Anniversary Canceled

The 50th anniversary of the Glastonbury festival, scheduled to take place June 24 to 28, was canceled by event organizers after they said that they would not be able to get the event ready in time, even if the situation in the UK improved. 

“Clearly this was not a course of action we hoped to take for our 50th anniversary event, but following the new government measures announced this week – and in times of such unprecedented uncertainty – this is now our only viable option,” festival organizers said in a statement.

Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift were scheduled to headline the festival, alongside Diana RossThom YorkeLana Del ReyKendrick LamarDizzee Rascal, Pet Shop Boys, and Haim.

Bob Weir Tour Postponed, Lollapalooza Argentina and Chile Postponed For Now

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros have postponed the remainder of their spring tour as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The health and wellbeing of our live music community is of the utmost importance,” Weir and his Wolf Bros bandmates, Don Was and Jay Lane, said in a statement. “So while we all deal with the effects of coronavirus (COVID-19) we will be rescheduling our remaining Bob Weir and Wolf Bros headline dates.”

Meanwhile, Lollapalooza Chile and Argentina have both been postponed with no makeup dates announced. The lineup for both editions included Guns N’ RosesThe Strokes, Lana Del ReyGwen Stefani, and others
