Judas Priest, Aerosmith cancel anniversary shows

Judas Priest, who had been scheduled to embark on a 50th anniversary tour in September 2020, have rescheduled the tour for 2021. The band has announced 14 rescheduled dates and 11 canceled with no makeup date. The band plans to add more shows to the tour and will announce them when the dates are finalized.  

Aerosmith has postponed its 50th anniversary show at Boston, Massachusetts’ Fenway Park from September 18, 2020, to September 14, 2021. Extreme was scheduled to open the show, but it’s unclear if they will open for Aerosmith’s 2021 date. 

The Spongebob Movie, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in News Notes

The 2020 Los Dells festival, scheduled to take place at the Wisconsin Dells, has been canceled. A date for what would have been the fourth edition of the festival, which normally takes place during Labor Day weekend. “Following direction of government and health officials, as the situation continues to evolve, we have concluded that we cannot move forward with our event this year,” organizers said in a statement released via social media…

Andrew McMahon, Adam Lambert in News Notes

Andrew McMahon will be the first performer in a new concert series curated by Nederlander Concerts. The Drive-In OC at the City National Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. The series will include both film and live music performance, July 10 and 11. Tickets for the show are $350 per car for the first row and $200 per car for general admission. Each vehicle can bring between five and seven passengers… 

Fountains of Wayne singer Adam Schlesinger will be the subject of a posthumous 31-track tribute album, Saving for a Custom Van, which is available exclusively on Bandcamp. Schlesinger died at age 52, April 1, from complications of COVID-19. Ted LeoNada SurfSarah Silverman, and Rachel Bloom, are among the contributors. Proceeds from the album will go to the MusicCares COVID-19 Relief Fund…

Stone Pony Summer Stage cancels, reschedules, or postpones most of slate

Asbury Park, New Jersey’s outdoor Summer Stage has official canceled, postponed, or rescheduled all but three shows from its summer slate, with the remaining three expected to be dealt with soon. 

The only three shows not currently changed are the August 7 Dark Star Orchestra show, the August 14 Front Bottoms and Jimmy Eat World performance, and the September 5 show with Almost Queen, Unforgettble Fire, and Philadephia Freedom.

Southside Johnny’s annual July 4th weekend show postponed

Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes annual show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey, scheduled for July 3, has been postponed to July 3, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets for this year’s show will be honored in 2021. 

Bauhaus provides touring update

Bauhaus released a statement to fans regarding currently postponed shows. 

The group wrote, “Due to the pandemic, we are now entering a challenging phase when many listed shows will be labelled ‘postponed.’ We are however, looking at alternative dates for these performances. This situation is unprecedented and incredibly dynamic with a continually moving target. 

“We, the band and our team are working diligently to establish new time frames for the concerts, please note – ‘where possible’ original tickets will remain valid for the new dates.

“We thank you for your continued patience.


“Please keep safe and we look forward so very much to playing again as soon as it is possible to do so. Please keep an eye on all relevant sites and outlets for further and imminent announcements.
