Best Coast announces virtual anniversary show

Best Coast has announced a virtual 10th-anniversary show in celebration of their debut album. Crazy For You  The streamed event, scheduled for August 14, will feature special guests, interviews, archival footage, and more. 

Members Bethany Consentino and Bobb Bruno filmed a performance of the entire album while in quarantine and will be joined by special guests  Hayley Williams of ParamoreMark Hoppus of Blink-182Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches and others.

Los Lobos to perform on Hardly Strictly Bluegrass livestream

Los Lobos will make its first post-pandemic appearance on the Hardly, Strictly Bluegrass livestream Saturday (July 25) at 7 p.m. 

The band will perform and sit for a Q&A during the event and will discuss the band’s four appearances at the festival, from 2007 to 2018. 

The livestream will air on the festival’s website as well a YouTube, Twitch, and Nugs.TV.

Engelbert Humperdinck announces livestream

Englebert Humperdinck will livestream an intimate performance today (July 23) at 3:00 pm EST on YouTube

“I’ve been so excited about this secret project,” he says eagerly. “I miss singing so much that I’ve been rehearsing at my dining room table with the speaker and an audience of just me,” he laughs.

The hour-long event will find Humperdinck talking with fans and answering questions live in YouTube’s chatroom before and after his performances of his classic hits and recent songs. 

Katy Perry to perform at virtual Tomorrowland festival

Katy Perry will perform at this year’s virtualTomrrowland music festival. The Belgian festival announcement comes a month ahead of the August 14 release of her new album, Smile. The Rolling Stones will rerelease their 1973 LP Goats Head Soup as a deluxe box set which will include a stereo mix of the album, outtakes, rarities, an entire show from the accompanying tour, and three previously-unreleased songs from the period, including one which features guitar work by Led Zeppelin‘s Jimmy Page

Police in Los Angeles, California have arrested five men in connection with the murder of rapper Pop Smoke,  February 19. LAPD Detectives arrested three adult males and two juvenile males in the killing. The police will provide further details when they become available…

Guided By Voices, who released Surrender Your Puppy February 20, will release their second album of 2020, Mirrored Aztec, August 31, the band’s 30th album. Andrew McMahon will be the first performer in a new concert series curated by Nederlander Concerts. The Drive-In OC at the City National Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. The series will include both film and live music performance, July 10 and 11. Tickets for the show are $350 per car for the first row and $200 per car for general admission. Each vehicle can bring between five and seven passengers… 

Fountains of Wayne singer Adam Schlesinger will be the subject of a posthumous 31-track tribute album, Saving for a Custom Van, which is available exclusively on Bandcamp.
